What is Article schema?
Article covers editorial content: BlogPosting for blog posts, NewsArticle for news, and Article for everything else. The markup states the headline, images, who wrote it and when it was published and last updated.
Google recommends headline, image, datePublished, dateModified and author, with the author's name only (no job titles) plus a profile URL. Dates should be ISO 8601 with a timezone.
Does Google show a rich result for Article?
Article markup helps Google show the right headline, image and dates for your article in Search; Google lists no required properties, only recommended ones. Google: Article structured data.

Give each author their own entry in the author list, with only their name and a profile URL. The generator writes one; repeat the author object for others.
It isn't in Google's Article documentation, but it's a standard schema.org property that other systems read, so it's optional here.
